wedding shoot

Luis and Vanessa contacted our studio a month prior to their wedding day to get us to help them tell their story of their love! Fortunately we had capacity to fly, film and expedite their shoot so their guests and the bride and groom would be able to continue their experience, view and share their story after the return from their honeymoon. To tell their story, we've filmed the wedding day shoot for Luis & Vanessa, that included some additional elements to make it more exiting. We paired the full day wedding shoot engagement with two different events shoots. This made for a real cool film that was able to tell snippets of their story leading up to the wedding day, and the shoot was a very fun experience for all of us.

We’ve rewatched the video countless times and still love it so much – we especially love that we will be able to look back years from now and be able to relive the magic!
— Luis DJ. & Vanessa N.

Luis & Vanessa got married at Ottawa's Glebe Community Centre. The Scotton hall has this amazing 40 foot dome over the reception hall. Naturally, the groom and I wanted to capture their reception from a bird's eye vantage point, from the inside of the dome. After getting all the necessary approvals to fly it indoors, the idea, unfortunately, did not work out due to very heavy interference from the DJ's equipment. We chose not to fly, as it was not safe to do so. To improvise, I used my land-based filming rig and high vantage points to get some indoor footage. However, we were able to capture beautiful outdoor aerial footage from Gatineau Park and a couple of other parks around town. Check out the film, above.

Congratulations Luis & Vanessa,
