engagement shoot

James & Eric contacted our studio months ahead of their wedding date to show the story of their love in the most unique way possible, via a drone. Their intent was to play this film during their wedding day. To do this, we've customized the engagement shoot for James & Eric, and planned well in advance so we could be with them during special moments, getting their marriage lisence, parties when they're around friends, family and just doing things they love. We've filmed over 7h of footage, split over 5 different events, or distinct areas. This made it possible to have nearly every scene in the film be different and engage the senses of the viewer by offering something new and exciting.

Thank you for the incredible drone video - we will cherish is forever! Party Bus!
— James S. & Eric V.

Some of the locations that James & Eric frequented were new to us, so it was fun exploring new locales, new scenery and figure out ways to capture the shots they wanted. This film intertwines aerial and land-based footage. In some of the shots, we've had James & Eric retrace their steps so we could take aerial footage and combine it with up close and personal shots that would progress the fluidity of the story. Having an all aerial or all land based video has the potential to be boring and tedious for the viewer. A change in altitudes, angles, and offering a different perspective to buildings, parks or even the people, will definitely inject life into the video and make for a memorable film.

Congratulations James & Eric,
