Welcome to another instalment of “On The Road To” (OTRT) where we share short snippets of our aerial work and current projects as we travel Canada and the world. This time we are on the roads of southern Ontario, Canada on the shores of Lake Ontario’s Prince Edward County (PEC). Prince Edward County (PEC) is a coastline region on Lake Ontario’s northeastern shore, nestled a few hours away from the major cities of Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario, and having several towns and villages in the heart of the region. With nearly 25,000 residents, PEC is Ontario’s best kept secret for boutique, small batch wines, and wine tastings.

The region in southern Ontario is one of the few regions in Canada that has an agreeable climate that allows for grape cultivation specific to that region, and produces great tasting wine. Having several dozen wineries and distilleries their wines are sold in local LCBO stores (Canada’s centralized liquor stores) or solely within the winery as a small batch, limited edition product.

Getting a hold of a rustic airBnB for the weekend, we spent our time visiting wineries, tasting the fabulous product unique to the Southern Ontario region, and working with our clients with some of their aerial projects.
